Common questions
Do I need permission to record?
Yes. Recording laws differ between places, and many require everyone's consent. Tell people you're recording before you start. AlgoMinutes shows a notice before every recording and asks you to confirm you have permission.
How long does a note take?
Usually a few minutes after you stop recording, depending on length. You can leave the app; AlgoMinutes notifies you when the note is ready, or if it couldn't be processed.
What are minutes?
Your plan includes a number of recording minutes. Settings shows how many you've used. A recording that fails to process doesn't use your minutes.
How do I delete a note?
Open the note and choose Delete. The note, its transcript and its recording are deleted.
Can notes be deleted automatically?
Yes. In Settings → Data retention, choose to keep notes until you delete them, or to delete them automatically after 30, 90, 180 or 365 days.
I used AlgoMinutes as a guest. What happens to my notes?
A guest's notes belong to a guest account on that device. To keep them, choose Create accountin Settings and sign in with Apple or Google: your notes stay with you. If you sign out as a guest, you can't get back into that guest account or its notes.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my account. If you can't use the app, seeDelete your account. Everything is deleted at once, and removed from backups within 30 days.
