Terms of Service
AlgoMinutes is in beta, and this document is pending legal review. It describes how AlgoMinutes works today. Questions: privacy@algorythmos.com.
These terms are an agreement between you and Algorythmos Pty Ltd (ABN 22 701 006 626, "we", "us") for your use of AlgoMinutes: the app, this website and the service behind them. By using AlgoMinutes, including as a guest, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. When you sign in with Apple or Google, the app records which versions you accepted.
1. The beta
AlgoMinutes is in beta. Features may change, be limited, or stop working while we improve them, and we may end the beta. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
2. Who can use AlgoMinutes
You must be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms yourself.
3. Your account
- Sign in with Apple or Google, or continue as a guest. A guest account lives on one device; to keep its notes, create an account from Settings. If you sign out as a guest, you can't get back into that guest account.
- Keep access to your sign-in account secure. You're responsible for what happens in your AlgoMinutes account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account.
4. Recording other people
You're responsible for having permission to record. Recording laws differ between places, and many require the consent of everyone being recorded. Tell people before you record them, and don't record anyone secretly or where the law doesn't allow it. The notice AlgoMinutes shows before recording is a reminder, not legal advice.
5. Your content
Your recordings and notes are yours. You give us a licence to store, copy and process them (including with the AI services described in our Privacy Policy) only to provide AlgoMinutes to you. The licence ends when you delete them, apart from backups, which expire as the Privacy Policy describes. You confirm you have the rights you need in what you upload.
6. AI output
Transcripts, summaries, action items and answers are produced automatically and can be incomplete or wrong, including about who said what. Check anything important against the recording before you rely on it. AlgoMinutes doesn't give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use AlgoMinutes to:
- record people unlawfully, or to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- upload content you don't have the right to, or that's unlawful;
- break, overload, probe or get around the security or limits of the service, or access other people's data;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
8. Fees
AlgoMinutes is free during the beta, with usage limits shown in the app. If we introduce paid plans, we'll show the price before you buy. Subscriptions bought in the App Store are also governed by Apple's terms, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple account.
9. Changes and availability
We may change or discontinue features. We'll give you reasonable notice of a change that significantly reduces what you can do, and the chance to export or delete your notes before we end the service.
10. Ending this agreement
You can stop using AlgoMinutes and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires, and we'll tell you why unless we're not allowed to.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows: AlgoMinutes is provided "as is" during the beta; we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you could have kept a copy of; and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, where the Australian Consumer Law applies, to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again).
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to its courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local consumer laws.
13. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the version and date above. Before a significant change takes effect, we'll tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using AlgoMinutes after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
